2 Tonne Crane Trailers Southcott was successful in securing the manufacture and fit-out of four 2 tonne crane trailers incorporating Maxilift ML 150-3 cranes with an optional 500kg winch under the boom arm. Given that available pre-designed trailers were not suitable for the load capacity, Southcott custom-built these trailers in our workshop to a specific engineering design that certified the load capacity and safety requirements. The trailers needed to have stabiliser leg beams fitted into the trailer frame for crane stability The fit-out included the Maxilift crane, four stabiliser legs and a front-mounted toolbox which housed the hydraulic power unit, crane controls and batteries. All electrical work and hydraulic installation were completed in-house, tested and certified to AS1418.11 & AS2550.1 by Southcott. Southcott are the agents for Maxilift in Tasmania.
